We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data), nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

  • Direct interactions. You may give us your name and email address when you complete the contact form on our site or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email, on our social media accounts, or otherwise. 
  • Automated technologies or interactions. As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using Google cookies.

We collect this information for the purposes described in the following paragraph 'How do we use this information?’ The lawful basis for which we process your information is: 

  • Your consent, given when you complete the contact or news alert subscription forms on our site or when you browse our website.

How do we use this information?

  • to provide you with answers to your questions, queries or comments you have requested in the contact form ‘Get in touch’ and the ‘Subscribe to our news’ sign up form.

Do we share your information with anyone else?

How long do we keep your information for? 
We take all reasonable steps to retain data only for the duration of the purpose for which it was obtained. When requested, we will delete personal information from current operational systems where it is no longer required. We may need to continue to hold some details about you after your relationship with us has ended, for example for legal and regulatory purposes.

San Leon will endeavour to ensure that any personal information and/or data it holds is kept secure. However, we cannot accept any liability for information obtained through unauthorised access to the website.

How do we protect personal information? 
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

You should be aware that the use of the Internet is not entirely secure and although we will do our best to protect your personal data we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information which is transferred from you or to you via the Internet. If the data is still available and hasn’t already been deleted you can ask to receive a copy to review, and if necessary to amend or erase. To do this, just send an email to london@sanleonenergy.com and we will look to action any request made within a calendar month. The deletion of your personal data will be completed unless we are legally obligated to store the information.

You have a right to seek the erasure of your data (often referred to as the ‘right to be forgotten’). You may wish to exercise this right for any reason, for example where it is no longer necessary for us to continue holding or processing your personal data you may withdraw your consent. You should note that we are entitled to and reserve the right to retain your data for statistical purposes. This right is not absolute, as we may need to continue processing this information, for example, to comply with our legal obligations, or for reasons of public interest.

You have a right to ask us to restrict our processing of your information (‘right to restriction’) if:

You have a right to prevent us from processing your data for the purposes of marketing.
